Keeping it Simply Smooth in NYC
So I was fortunate enough to be asked by the Schick company to host a party in New York City.
When I first read the email I was afraid they had me confused with someone who shaves regularly. But lucky for me it wasn’t a mistake. Apparently they somehow thought I might be able to sell razors. I mean I don’t use them, but hopefully I could convince the rest of modern America to. Sounds completely logical to me.
They sent over one of the Intuition Plus razors for me to try. Holy shit y’all, this razor is the bomb. I hope they don’t mind me saying this but it is definitely a lazy person’s razor. It requires absolutely no thought process whatsoever (which is helpful if you’re ME). You don’t even need soap because it has soap BUILT INTO IT.
I shaved things I hadn’t shaved since 1987. I have four kids. Who has time to shave?
Anyway the party was set in this trendy restaurant on Columbus Circle. The music was loud, the cocktails were flowing, and GAVIN FREAKIN’ DEGRAW was the entertainment.
I got my picture taken with him. But like everything else in my life lately, it is too dark to make out. Oh, you can see two grainy shadowy figures and my blonde hair. That’s about it.
While there, I took the microphone hostage and interviewed people about Blogher, New York City, and of course, how they were keeping it simply smooth (that’s where the Intuition Plus comes in).
It was all documented on video, so you can see for yourself.
*Never mind that towards the end my words get slurry. I was doing that on purpose and it had nothing to do with the Cosmopolitans.
