This is hard for me to write. In fact, I’ve put off writing it for a few weeks now. But I think I just have to come out and say it, like pulling off a band-aid quickly.
I’m getting out of the blogging business.
It’s time. I know it’s time.
I used to have so much to say. And really, now, I feel like I’m all talked out. Seriously, there’s only so many times I can share stories about my kids, my vagina, my bad habits, and my food issues. Know what I mean?
Anyway, I’ve loved every second of this crazy journey. I started out blogging as a conduit to the publishing world and ended up with this huge online family. You are my friends now, which was most unexpected. I never considered sharing my life with total strangers would make me such a better person. My life is better with you in it.
While I’m sad I won’t be sharing my stories as often as I have for the last seven years, I’m not saying I won’t ever again. I’m still pursuing my career as a writer, I’m just taking some personal time off. My family needs me right now.
I’ll be around. Oh don’t you worry. The world still needs my pithy, witty Facebook posts, so if we’re not Facebook friends already, FRIEND ME.
I’m not going to say good-bye. I’ll just say See You Later.
