Spider Web Pumpkin

After duct-taping a pumpkin, I thought it was time to move on to a little more challenging craft: Painting a pumpkin to look like a spider web.

I started by spray-painting it white. I let it dry overnight.

Then with black paint and a thin brush, I painted the lines.

Next I painted lines across.

I painted the stem a bright orange and hot-glued spiders to give it a finished look.

We think it turned out pretty darn cute.

Here’s what you need to make your own:

*pumpkin
*white spray paint
*black acrylic paint
*orange acrylic paint
*paint brushes
*plastic spiders
*hot glue gun
*a steady hand (Not Joking Here)

Hope you have as much fun making this as I did! The kids only wish I’d let them help me do more of it. I’m not gonna lie. I hogged the entire project. But hey, moms need to have fun too, am I right?
