Oh, how I dream of being in the house alone for the weekend… way better than having to run away on my own. Why is it that this almost never works? And WHY are the children oh-so needy all the ding-dang day?! And why do they ALWAYS ask if you’re having a #1 or #2 in the bathroom? ? Uch. Kids wreck everything. And, they’re the greatest joy. I have finally found a way to get some nice relaxing time to myself. I simply go in the bathroom with my MP3 player and music playing in my noise cancelling ear buds while I have a boom box in the bathroom playing different music to drown out any other noise and not only do I lock the bathroom door, I barricade it with a dining room chair and bring the key in the bathroom with me. I have yet to be interrupted! I’ve even been known to drink wine and Twitter from my phone during this uninterrupted child and husband free time! Good luck!
