OK, first off, let me say that I’m an enormous loser. I was supposed to announce the winner of the Tungsten wedding ring yesterday and I didn’t do it.
I blame my children. And the sickness that took control of our house.
Anyway, better late than never.
So, THIS was a tough decision. I put together a team of judges (Read: my dad and my husband) and they narrowed it down to four. Then it was up to me to decide the winner.
It was SO hard but I did it. I picked the story that seemed like the Best Worst Proposal Story. And this particular story made me laugh out loud.

Here was her story:
My son’s father (not the man I ended up marrying) bought me a ring and hid it in his glove box. We were driving from my house in Florida to his Mom’s house in Indiana and I accidentally told him to make an exit and we ended up 80 miles in the wrong direction.
He pulled into a gas station to read the map and figure out what to do. I needed a napkin because in his aggravation he yanked the wheel and spilled soda on me. I opened the glove box, the ring box fell out with the napkins. He looked at me and said “you might as well put it on so it’ll be domestic violence when i knock you out for this mess.”

We lasted another 8 months and a child before I realized it wasn’t my idea of Prince Charming.
