on the way to school today my 6 year old spotted a gas station and pointed and yelled, “look mom, gas is a dollar eighty eight! can you believe that? barack obama is already making things better! gas used to be a lot and now it’s nothing. you were right about him. he’s awesome!”
i smiled, joyfully, and agreed with her.
a responsible mother would have corrected her and told her that he more than likely had nothing to do with the price of gas dropping.
it’s a good thing i’m not one of those responsible mothers.
